Applying for child support services in California

The California child support system impacts millions of people from one side of the state to the next. There are parents who pay child support, those who receive payments and children who benefit from this arrangement.

The child support program is administered by 51 local agencies spread throughout the state.

According to the California Department of Child Support Services, there are many services available to people who need assistance with this part of their life. These include the following:

Applying for a service is made easy, with the interested party prompted to complete the Application for Child Support Services Packet. From there, he or she can return it to the county agency in their area.

It is important to note that for an application to be processed, it must be completed in full and returned to your region’s local child support agency.

The state of California realizes that child support is necessary for parents to rear their children, and for this reason it has put a system in place for helping people in need of various services. With the assistance of the California Department of Child Support Services, many people are able to receive benefits and follow their court order without any hassle.
